nature in the city as a constant, screaming battle ground. who will win. we put trees in the streets for our use. our benefit. shade. beauty. cooling. but the tree is not a static object. it is life. we assume that we can own it and control it. but it fights back. man creates science and engineering. we sit in planning meetings and deem our ideas as perfection. as working. we put out the idea of a 'perfect' street. big-words-engineering. we have won. but ultimately nature fights back. it evolves slightly but it's fundamentals are the same. to live. and it does. it laughs at our engineering.
